Campus Design Plans Published: Color-Coded Buildings on the Former Saint Rose Campus

Vicki and JoJo's building design plans are now available — showing how the former College of Saint Rose campus has been reimagined with color-coded buildings, flexible classrooms with connecting support rooms, and key gathering spaces including a cafe-style cafeteria and student performance auditorium.

New Sensory Garden Opens Behind the Science Wing

Students in the STEM and Art pathways collaborated on the design of a fully accessible sensory garden, featuring raised planting beds, textured walkways, a sound installation, and Braille plant labels. The garden will serve as an outdoor classroom for science, art, and wellness activities.

Assistive Tech Lab Students Win Regional Design Challenge

A team of four juniors from the Assistive Tech Design Lab took first place at the Tri-State Inclusive Design Challenge with their prototype of a low-cost, 3D-printed adaptive utensil grip. The team will present their work at the national competition in June.

One School, One Story: Voting Opens for This Year's Read

It's time to choose this year's One School, One Story book! Students will vote on one of four culturally relevant texts exploring themes of identity, power, and resilience. The month-long reading initiative kicks off in May — with weekly Friday Common Ground Community discussions, rotating student roles, and texts available in physical, audiobook, braille, large print, and digital formats. The reading month leads directly into our annual Capybara Conference.

Our monthly Voice & Vision Assemblies give every grade a platform to raise questions, suggest changes, and hold the school accountable. Anonymous feedback via paper ballots or QR codes — and a review committee that tracks follow-through. This is student voice with real teeth.
